News Alumna wins Eldredge Prize

​Alumna Susan Rather (M.A. 1980, Ph.D. 1986) has been awarded the Charles C. Eldredge Prize for Distinguished Scholarship in American Art for her book The American School: Artists and Status in the Late Colonial and Early National Era (New Haven and London: Yale University Press for the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, 2016). This distinguished award is given each year by the The Smithsonian American Art Museum. 

Susan Rather is currently a professor of art history at the Unversity of Texas, Austin.
