The Visual Resources Center for the Department of Art History has just released a new Guide to Open Image Collections. The guide breaks down basic concepts around copyright and provides a curated list of online collections that offer restriction-free, high-resolution images of artworks. The guide is meant for anyone looking to find quality images of artworks for academic and personal use.

You can also find a link to the guide at the bottom of the VRC webpage.
