Professor Vimalin Rujivacharakul recently taught an intensive 10-day graduate seminar to visiting faculty and graduate students at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Her seminar, titled "Vernacular and Orientalism in Modern Architectural Discourse,” explored historical connections and design assumptions in the 20th century as categories such as "regionalism" and "monumental vernacular" were being constructed.
