Professors Jennifer Van Horn and Zara Anishanslin both presented at the 2018 Mount Vernon Symposium, which took place June 1-3. Van Horn’s lecture was titled, “The Dangers of the Dressing Table in the British Atlantic World,” and Anishanslin presented the Pauline C. Metcalf Lecture on Women in the Decorative Arts, titled “Fashioning the Botanical Landscape of Empire: Women Makers and Wearers of Silk.”
