Ph.D. candidate La Tanya S. Autry calls for museums to better represent artists of color in a recent article for Associated Press. A curatorial fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, Autry co-founded the movement Museums Are Not Neutral in 2017. According to a study conducted at Williams College in 2019, 85% of the artwork displayed by 18 of the top museums in the United States were created by white artists and 87% by males.
