Anne Cross

Doctoral candidate Anne Cross curates the new exhibition now on view in Recitation​​​ Gallery. Borrowing its title from a recent publication by the scholar Eve Meltzer, "The Sy​stems We Have Loved" presents four Philadelphia artists (Lindsay Buchman, Marianne Dages, Kayla Romberger, Tamsen Wojtanowski) whose work explores the seeming impersonality of the systems that structure modern experience with a frank subjectivity, and, variously, a sense of humor, affection, magic and fear.

Cross hosted the exhibition's opening reception on Tuesday, February 7. "The Systems We Have Loved" runs through March 3.
