Doctoral candidate Michele L. Frederick is the Samuel H. Kress Predoctoral Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts (CASVA), at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. As a result, Michele is traveling throughout Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium to perform research for her dissertation, "Shaping the Royal Image: Gerrit van Honthorst and the Stuart Courts in London and The Hague, 1620-49."
