​​On January 30, professor Jessica L. Horton presented at a scholar's day at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles to accompany the opening of the​​​ exhibition, Jimmie Durham: At the Center of the World. Horton's essay was publis​hed​ in the accompanying catalogue.

On February 28, Professor Horton will give the Granger Lecture in American Art History​ at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, titled "Jimmie Durham's Bones and Stones: Art after the American Indian Movement."
