From November 15-18, doctoral candidate Sarah Leonard attended the North American Victorian Studies Association (NAVSA) 2017 Annual Conference focused on "Victorian Preserves." She received travel support from NAVSA and the UD Center for Material Culture Studies. In between meeting fellow Victorianists and strolling through the beautiful surroundings in Banff, Alberta, Sarah presented a paper titled "The Society for Photographing Relics of Old London, 1874-1886: Documenting Historic Value in the Changing City." In preparation for the 2018 NAVSA conference, Sarah is already involved in planning events centered around the Victorian environment.
