Professor Vimalin Rujivacharakul spoke on May 9 at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz's workshop, "Encounter of (colonial) encounters: methods, epistemologies and terms for a transcultural art history." Her lecture was entitled "The Buddha as a System: Imperialist Discourse, Religious Constructs, and Modern-Medieval Divide."
