Graduate student Emily Shartrand participated in the 51st Annual International Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Emily was invited to give a paper for a session that was organized by the Society for Medieval Feminist Scholarship on "Feminist Readings of Medieval Obscenity." Her paper is entitled "Penetrated Male in the Margin of an Early Fourteenth Century Arthurian Romance Manuscript."
Professor Lawrence Ne​es also presented his paper, "Eagle Capitals in the Dome of Rock," in a session entitled "Soaring across Culture: Eagles in Medieval Art, Literature, Coins, and Seals."
