Janis Tomlinson, Director of Special Collections and Museums at the UD Library, Museums and Press, has been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Research and Documentation ("Comité cientÃfico de Investigación y Documentación") of the Goya Foundation in Aragon ("Fundación Goya en Aragón"). The foundation is responsible for the promotion of research, initiatives and collections related to the Spanish painter Francisco Goya and Spanish contemporary art.
In October, Tomlinson delivered "Threads of Caprice" ("Hilos de Capricho") at the Art Museum of Murcia, Spain. She also presented "Goya: The Persistence of Legend" ("Francisco Goya, la persistencia de la leyenda"), the keynote lecture at the symposium "The Artist: Myth and Reality" ("El Artista: Mito y realidad"), supported by the University of Zaragoza.
