Opening Wednesday, September 5 in Old College Gallery, "The World is Following Its People": Indigenous Art and Arctic Ecology will be the first exhibition in Old College Gallery to focus on Indigenous art since 2002. Objects on display will include pieces from the Frederick and Lucy S. Herman and the Mabel and Harley McKeague collections of Inuit and Yup'ik art.
The exhibition was curated from the Museums collections during an art history graduate seminar taught by Professor Jessica L. Horton in the spring 2018 semester. For more information on how the students created this exciting exhibition, see our previous coverage of this course.
The exhibition will be open through December 7. Corresponding events and gallery talks are listed on our events calendar.
