archival histories; museum and curatorial studies.
Biography
Jalena Jampolsky is a Ph.D. student focusing on
the history of photography and nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American
art and decorative arts at the University of Delaware. From 2017-2019, she was
the Henry Luce Foundation Research Associate of American Art at the Newark
Museum. Jampolsky was also the Tiffany and Co. Foundation Curatorial Intern in
American Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (2016-2017). At the
Met, her research focused on the use of photography in American decorative
arts, specifically Tiffany Studios. She received her M.A. in the History of Art
and Archeology from New York University's Institute of Fine Arts; and received
her B.A. with honors in the History of Art and Visual Culture from the
University of California, Santa Cruz.
