Graduate Research Assistantships

The Visual Resources Center occasionally offers research assistantships to graduate students in the Department of Art History. Research Assistants learn the research, cataloging, and imaging skills that are central to our activities. They assist the Visual Resources Center staff in our day-to-day operation, and help to guide the collection's growth through a variety of independent projects.

Undergraduate Work-Study Positions

The Visual Resources Center may have one or more employment opportunities each semester for University of Delaware undergraduates. Student assistants are primarily responsible for scanning and editing new images for the collection.

Students must be eligible for work-study in order to be considered for a position in the Visual Resources Center.

Internships in Visual Resources Management

The Visual Resources Center offers internship opportunities for University of Delaware undergraduates. Interns learn the basics of creating, organizing, and implementing an image collection for academic use, as well as conducting research in a particular field of art history. An intern's central project is the creation of a database of digital images built around an area of his or her expertise or interest.

This is an unpaid internship. Interns will receive 3 credits upon successful completion of the internship.
