On Thursday, May 3, Ph.D. candidates
Spencer Wigmore and
Jeff Richmond-Moll will be presenting at the
Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery in Washington D.C. as part of the SAAM Fellows' Lecture Series.
Wigmore and Richmond-Moll will be presenting on a panel moderated by Virginia Mecklenburg, Chief Curator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Wigmore, the Wyeth Foundation Predoctoral fellow at the SAAM, will present "Albert Bierstadt's Landscapes and California Mining Speculation, 1872-1880." And Richmond-Moll, the Joshua C. Taylor Predoctoral Fellow at the SAAM will present "'Dance, Domingo, Dance!': Marsden Hartley's New Mexican Santos."
Wigmore and Richmond-Moll's session will run from 2 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 3. The entire lecture series will run from May 2 to May 4, 2 p.m.-5 p.m. each day. The talks will be held in SAAM's McEvoy Auditorium, located at 8th and G Streets NW, Washington, D.C. This event is free and open to the public, and no reservations are required. The talks will be available through a simultaneous
webcast.
