Alumnus Arthur J. DiFuria, Chair of Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design, published his book entitled Maarten van Heemskerck's Rome: Antiquity, Memory, and the Cult of Ruins. Based on his dissertation work at the University of Delaware, the text examines Dutch artist Maarten van Heemskerck's drawings of Roman ruins. DiFuria discusses the artist's training, "ruinscape" work in Rome and career following Rome. At the conclusion of the book, a catalog presents van Heemskerck's drawings in high-resolution digital photographs for the first time.
