Dr. Adam Miyashiro, Assistant Professor of Literature at Stockton University, presents "Race, White Supremacy, and the Middle Ages," at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, in room 111 Memorial Hall. His lecture, co-sponsored by the Department of Art History and the Department of English, will explore variations of white supremacy and medieval studies, as well as how medieval studies has been tied to colonialism and genocide since the 19th century. It will conclude with a discussion of how postcolonial medieval studies can challenge popular conceptualizations of the medieval world.
