William D. Adams, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), will visit the Department of Art History on Wednesday, September 7 as part of a larger tour of UD and other Delaware institutions. Adams will present a talk, "The Common Good: The NEH at 50," at 2:30 p.m. in Gore Recital Hall of the Roselle Center for the Arts.
At 4:00 p.m. on the same day, Dr. Michael Witmore, Director of the Folger Shakespeare Library, will discuss "Shakespeare for the Centuries" in the Morris Library Reading Room.
From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., both Adams and Witmore will be in Old College for the opening reception for the exhibition, First Folio! The Book That Gav​e Us Shakespeare.
