The Department of Art History is delighted to announce a new funded internship program in partnership with the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover, Delaware. With the support of the Choptank Foundation and in collaboration with the Department of Art Conservation, up to three museum internships will be awarded each year in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
For the first time, graduate students and advanced undergraduate majors in both departments will be able to pursue full-time, fully funded internships at the Biggs Museum in areas including curation, education and collections management. The internship program expands professional development and experiential learning opportunities for students while enriching cultural connections within the state of Delaware.
The application deadline is Feb. 15, 2020. Please view the application for complete details and application specifications.
A generous grant from the
Choptank Foundation will support the internships through 2022. In addition, a
challenge grant from Choptank will help to endow the internship program
permanently. To learn more or to make a gift to this endowment, please contact
John Shipman at jshipman@udel.edu.
