Doctoral candidate
Karli Wurzelbacher has curated American Graphic: P​​icturing Social Change in the 1920s and 1930s, on view in Old College Gallery through May 12. Drawn from the University of Delaware collections, this exhibition highlights artwork that engaged with economic, political, and social issues in the time of the Great Depression and President Franklin Roosevelt's "New Deal" relief and recovery program.
Wurzelbacher will host a reception and lead a tour of the exhibition in Old College Gallery on Wednesday, February 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. RSVPs to universitymuseums@udel.edu are appreciated.
In connection with the exhibition, Professor
Jason Hill will give a talk on "Photography of the 1930s" in Old College Gallery on Thursday, March 9, from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.
