Jennifer Van Horn, associate professor in the Department of Art History, has been shortlisted for the College Art Association’s Charles Rufus Morey Book Award for her recent publication Portraits of Resistance: Activating Art During Slavery, published by Yale University Press in 2022. The Morey Book Award, named after one of the first teachers of art history in the United States, honors an especially distinguished book in the history of art, published in the English language. The winner will be announced in January 2024.
