Doctoral student Kiersten Mounce presented at the “International Conference on Ecocriticism and Environmental Studies” at the University of London earlier this month. Mounce’s paper, titled “Mass Production as Nature and Nature as Marketing in Interwar France,” discusses the French architect René Herbst and his plant displays, which combined natural elements and mass-produced furniture.
