News Cross to participate in “Spotlight Series” at PMA

Doctoral candidate Anne Cross will lead multiple discussions, many relating to American art, at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) as part of its "Spotlight Series." Her lecture schedule is as follows:

 

October 24, 25 & 26: "The Annunciation," 1898, Henry Ossawa Tanner (Gallery AA 211)

November 21, 22 & 23: "Mending the Net," 1881, Thomas Eakins (Gallery AA 216)

January 16, 17 & 18: "Rama," c.1000, artist unknown (Made in Tamil Nadu, India)(Gallery SAA 324)

April 9, 10 & 11: "In the Studio," 1982, Jasper Johns (Gallery CA 277)

 

Each talk will begin at 11:00 a.m. Attendees should convene in Great Stair Hall, near the entrance to Gallery 251.
