Graduate students in Professor Vimalin Rujivacharakul's curatorial seminar have collaboratively curated an online exhibition using maps and atlases from the University of Delaware's Special Collections. Entitled Multiple Middles: Maps from Early Modern Times, the exhibition features maps from the early modern period. Extending from the 16th century to the 18th century, these maps, atlases and travel accounts highlight specific middles that the mapmakers chose to emphasize. Multiplying those middles, the exhibition pushes the geographical and conceptual centers to the side, revealing the lesser-known stories of this historically significant cartographic period. Student curators include Rachel Allen, María Carrillo-Marquina, Yoo Jin Choi, Emily Rose Peikin, Tom Price and Dakota H. Stevens.
