Vimalin Rujivacharakul
traveled to Beijing,
China to teach an intensive two-week seminar at Tsinghua University, which began
on Nov. 25. A visiting professor at the
university, Rujivacharakul instructed
students on the theories and histories of vernacular architecture. The students
examined and challenged existing European and American theories to view Asian
vernacular architecture from new perspectives. Rujivacharakul also
co-hosted a symposium in Songyang, a county in Zhejiang under consideration for recognition as one of China's national heritage sites.
