Biography
Julia Mun is a first-year M.A. student interested in studying Asian American art, especially in terms of gender, identity and cultural exchanges. She recently received her B.A. in Art History and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia in 2021. Julia has a background in both collections management and curatorial work, interning in institutions ranging from the Georgia Museum of Art to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. This past year, Julia has worked on a research publication on how collection databases can better code non-Western clothing. Julia also recently worked with the Art Bridges Foundation as the Collections and Curatorial intern, researching the intersection of the Asian American identity, popular culture, and fabric making.
